Tuscany Bike Tours is looking for a full time guide.
We offer a one day tour in the countryside near Florence on bicycle or Vespa. A guided visit around a 12th century castle is followed by a glass of the castle's chianti and some olive oil.
Our tour regularly receives excellent reviews so we expect any candidate to be able to adhere to our high level of customer service. Guides must be proactive and able to think on their feet.
Whilst the job can be immense fun, it can also be challenging organizing people and ensuring they enjoy themselves, all the while keeping them safe. The job is intense, and physically demanding, working outside in high temperatures in summer. Our tour runs every day so you may be required to work both weekdays, weekends and also public holidays.
Excellent interpersonal skills
Physically fit, able to ride a bicycle for 22km every day
Mother tongue English (or equivalent standard)
Driving license, ability to drive a manual/stick shift van and ride a scooter confidently
Comfortable talking in front of a group (up to 40 people)
The legal right to reside and work in Italy
Available from now until October
Of benefit but not prerequisite:
Knowledge of wine, specifically Chianti
Past experience working in tourism
A contract with minimum hours
